Re: is this an issue ??
Make sure there is no mention of "OUTSIDE" on the tire which you say was installed wrong. If there is no mention, then this it was installed incorrectly. I would definitely give them a SHoUT at Performance cuz they are reputed and shouldn't have made such a mistake. Demand new tires and do not re-us...

At some point you will curb rash them. I did it myself after 2 years of no curb rash - one day I didn't realise how close to the curb I was and wham curb rash on my Works. Then a few weeks later in the stupid tiny azz underground parking of 4point Sheraton in Bur Dubai, I curbed them!

Re: New Tires - Sound
If you use longer bolts, get extended lug nuts.
If you use stock, then use stock bolts.
It all depends if you can spin the spanner (to tighten the bolts) 7 times using the stock lugnuts on the new wheels.

Re: Fines - how, why, and how to avoid
If you had no place to go then why did you speed up? Let him keep flashing - it won't blind you. He's not paying the fine for you nor did it seem like he cared about getting a ticket so you should have not moved until it was safe to do so.

Re: Aston Martin DB9
no dissing JDM's man but Aston is class.
Drive Aston - valet park at club - chicks will look at you
Drive Lexus LS300 with 1000hp 2JZ - if you manage to valet park at club chicks don't glance.
Reverse the above at a drag track..
You get my point I hope.
