Well wouldn't like to get the boot of my car smashed up because of some dimwit! I had half a mind to hit the brakes but I was going to fast and didnt want to make it dangerous for everyone.comatose wrote:If you had no place to go then why did you speed up? Let him keep flashing - it won't blind you. He's not paying the fine for you nor did it seem like he cared about getting a ticket so you should have not moved until it was safe to do so.
I guess i deserved the fine cos I was doing 160 which is anyway above the speed limit.
Well some of them are understanding.. You just give them a left signal telling them you cannot change lanes & they just stop sticking in ur rear.. Least likely you'll experience the crazy ones..comatose wrote:If you had no place to go then why did you speed up? Let him keep flashing - it won't blind you. Ok heads up guys 2 new areas to be careful. Some of you may already know this so please ignore this.
1) Small New fixed camera - From business bay right after you come down the bridge going towards ghussais, before the exit to mirdiff/khawaneej.
2) RTA is putting up more mobile cameras all along the Business bay its not worth driving fast on that road anymore. Theyre recent fav spot is going towards Al quoz after passing the 3rd exit to Alwasl on the right. Its right after the overpass so you cant see the camera or the RAV4 until its too late.

Hi Ashwin, saw you last week...I was driving a black Murano and finally gave you way
The speed limit on Biz Bay right down to the Police Station before Airport Tunnel is 100, with grace till 120 correct? I'm always doing 110 on it.
I got flashed just before you enter Airport Tunnel as the road is 80 there, with grace till 100. I was doing 104, paid AED 600 for it. Wankers.

yeah i usually go real fast on business bay, i think i remember you. You can drive at 120 without any issue the cameras wont flash plus some are the other way so usually floor it till i reach the next camera one can easily touch 180. i have done 124 and it didnt flash but im not going to risk it again.
PS: I didnt get that ticket btw the 1st lane one near airport tunnel its been like 2 months i did get 2 more tickets one thanks to the GTZ kalba drive and the new camera on business bay
