All of you have likely fallen victim to last night's heavy rain so...

I was wondering. Will submerged cars be able to start after drying up? If they don't will the insurance write it off?

I almost got submerged in the industrial area last night since my Civic is kinda low. I'm thinking of getting a SUV sometime later but I also want my next car to be a Lancer GT. That's why I'm curious about something. Is the Lancer's engine a little higher above the ground than that of the Civic?

They are happy that they've got the tallest building, man made islands, worlds most expensive number plate....but then they dont have roads with gutters! Finished work at 10 reached home 12:50...

On the bridge before Emirates road cops closed the route and kept a sign "Men at work" but as far as eyes could see no one was working! then had to go to RAK to reach Ajman from Dubai!

Yeah, it was pretty screwed up. I heard Emirates Road was closed, and Business Bay was screwed, and basically, EVERY route towards Sharjah was packed due to this, so I reached home at 7ish after leaving work at 5 and getting stuck. Traffic on Dubai Sharjah highway was backed up till 11pm or so.

i left work at 6:30 from dubai and reached home in Sharjah at 9:30. This wasnt too bad actuall. I went halfway to Al Ain. Got onto the 611 road then took the exit towards Kalba, then turned towards Madaam. Ended in Dhaid and then reached Sharjah. 160 Kms instead of 20kms. But no traffic and straight roads.

The 'smart' boards said Airport Tunnel was congested and we should use the 6/11 road instead. How was it?
