Hello guys,

I was wondering if someone can hopefully help me with answering some questions. I have been looking for rules in shipping cars from the U.S to the U.A.E and I can't find a lot of information about modified cars. I am going to be moving back to the U.A.E in 4-5 months and I really don't want to sell the cars.

I have a 2007 300c srt8 and a 2008 challenger srt8 that has a lot of performance work done to them. It is all naturally aspirated without forced induction and I am pushing just a little bit above 600hp/615tq. The challenger is a twin turbo build that is going to be pushing about 800hp and should be done in a few months. My few questions are, I heard that the U.A.E is VERY strict when it comes to performance modifications especially turbos and superchargers. Will I be able to get the cars through customs?? Is there a special process to get a modified car into the U.A.E? Do they test how much horsepower it pushes or do they check what kind of performance modifications that was done to it?? Do I need to tell them what I did to the cars or do I just hope that they will let the cars in?

I appreciate any comments or help,

Thank you,

Customs don't car about anything and it ain't related to registrations in any way.

I say it will pass registrations too but if it doesn't you can always try other ways or remove the problem causing parts and put them on later.

Simple as that.

Customs won't stop you but you'll face problems during registration. N/A mods are probably ok but I don't think you'll be able to get your TT build registered.

Is it really as simple as that?? So if customs won't car what is on the car. When I get it registered, do they inspect the modification parts or what? And are there any laws on superchargers or turbos in the country??

No hard and fast laws as such, but extensively modified cars don't pass registration in most Emirates.

I think N/A mods will pass, And your car is stroked right? The TT car may be the only problem

It should look stock, especially the engine bay. No shiny pipes or you risk your vehicle failing the test.

Post some engine bay pics.
Avoid making your car look all tuned up on the outside, Decals like NOS etc etc.

I just have my aggressive hood and the car is lowered, other than that here are some pics of the engine bay.

I will be taking the half covers and putting the stock ones back on when its time for shipping since I don't want them to know that its a 7.0 liter lol

Oh and here is a picture of the car from outside. I did a Magnum front end swap and put it on the 300c. I think it came out good :) What do you guys think?

Mine is the blue one. And the wheels are black now.
