Problems With Owning a Non-GCC Spec Car?

Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum and sort of new to the whole car scene. I'm about to get my license and was wondering of getting my first car. What I want to know is what are the differences of owning a non-gcc spec car vs. a gcc spec car? Are spare parts different? Will some garages only work on gcc spec cars? I've also noticed that non-gcc spec cars are cheaper(why is that?), but that might be just me. Anyways thanks for helping a noob out.
