modding isnt cheap bro, what are u planning to use ure car for? man thats a lot for steel braided lines .... and alot for everything else too. but its always best to order stuff through a dealer, not a must, but when it comes to expensive stuff like this ... do it through subzero itself.

Mikeh> where did u get the turbo kit from? ask ure friend if he knows Steve, he owns a black Z, guy who lifted my R

thanks guys for all the replies and feedback.
I do live in Dubai and the 900 HP figure is something suggested by the engineer at subzero. I wanted something around 700 HP. I think that is more than enough if I wanted to drive the car on the streets. I have another car (SL 55 AMG) which I drive daily and I wanted my new skyline to be faster...alot faster in fact as the AMG is very fast already. so this is why i need big HP to be able to go to the drag every while and race for fun only....but I also want to enjoy driving the skyline on weekends as well...

Sorry Ottoguy, wouldn't know

Salem, if you wanna have your SL beaten.. good luck. A 900 or 700 hp, or even 600 hp skyline might do that in the long run. But it'll won't be fun to drive, because of the lag. I drove a SL55 a few times and that car just has grunt in every gear, at every speed... something a skyline only has at higher RPM's.

Plus, a highly tuned car needs a lot of maintanance.. and can be expensive.

If you really want a fast skyline, strip it.. make it light.. but also remember that a skyline was made for cornering.. and in straight lines the 4wd is only good for a launch.. and then become just bulk.

Pimp out yer SL.. more style 8)

ok thanks for the info Mikeh.
Ps: I spoke to Bin Sulaim Performance garage and it seems that the manager is a highly trained engineer who has good experience in building race cars . The only problem is that they are very expensive....

Any feedback on this garage (reliability wise)

Bin sulaiyman - a very very good garage - have never heard anything bad about them - only thing is, they know their good and put their noses high above the clouds, if u knw what i mean....
If uve been to PMS - these guys are a 100 times worse.....

I went there recently (6-7 months back) - with a frind that wanted to go turbo on his Landcruiser (stage 1 or something like that) - the guys didnt even look at us cause they thought we were kids --
a whte guy is sitting there - asked him - "can u help us etc" - just ignored us, - i mean he didnt even look up - it was to the point where we were yelling in his face saying "Excuse Me"
finally my frind pulled out a couple thousand, slapped in on the counter and said "if u want it, come and get it" - Lol

he looked up and spoke to us in the most arrogant and obnoxious manner
really i didnt like the guy...

But - they do ALOT of work for Sheikhs and their cars ..... if they treat u right - u'll be fine

I cannot say anything bad about any member of that family.

But they do know their stuff...

Check out garages in RAK or UAQ. A very good friend of mine works in RSG in UAQ, and he knows his stuff..

But, Salem, just wondering.. how much do you know about cars? Like how turbo's work and such..

Mikeh,
Can you give me your friends name & no. (at RSG workshop). I will then contact him and see what he can offer to do for my car.

As for your question about my car knowledge, I will summerize it by saying that I come from a family who have been involved in cars business since decades (workshops, trading...etc). My brother & I have our own car maintaince workshop in Dubai for maintenance and denting & painting(Behind Bin Sulyaim perfomrance workshop). My brother manages the business. He is specialized in German cars (we have all the necessary computers, scanners...etc.) but we dont do engine upgrades for japanese cars so this is why I am looking for japanese cars specialist tuners...!!!
PS: He has done a very nice BMW 320 for me that pulls 375 HP (with 745I modified Turbo engine with Nitrous...!!!). The car is Dubai registered...

Why you guys never looked at japanese engines?

The 4.4 v8 from bmw.. already has -stock- a 325 horses.. a 100-shot would give you easily 400's... Don't know, but seems that it wasn't tuned that well..

I'll call shumi (the rsg guy), but he's in NZ at the moment..

Actually mikeh, I have put the old 745i engine (straight 6 cylinders with kkk 27 turbo,- pulls 250 HP when stock). I have put in an alpina 282 cam shaft with big injectors, Bosch 011 ECU, ported head, larger air intake, fuel pressure regulator, M5 gear box with special copper clutch, 535 differential and finally a 150 HP Nitrous...

Thanks for your help with the RSG guy....
