hello friends,
anyone know if the procedure for obtaining a driving license is different for students?
i will be in dubai on a student visa, do i have to go take all those 20-40 theory classes? i have a DL from India for the past 4yrs. i know i cannot convert it to Dubai license directly, but was hoping i could get the theory classes reduced??

anyone got any idea about this?

i know everyone is gonna say i am wrong but i think
sometiems it depends where u came from
if ur license is from ksa, america, canada england etc.
they will converte ur license without calss's but
one final test
and if ur lisence is asian or african
u might have the class's (Y) (Y) (Y)

I would recommend you to go to Belhasa driving institute..
If you have a license from India, you will have to attest your license from the Indian embassy/consulate.. doing this would save you from taking parking/signal classes/tests

fresh license - 40 classes
and you said you have a license from India - then you have to take only 20 classes before you can go for the road test.

Tc
Best of luck

I had a 10 months old license from my country.
Went to EDI branch in Reef Mall.

Registered.Had 4 hours of driving and then final test.
Passed from first time with no hastle and delays.

All in all i got license in 2 weeks.Cost me about 1k.

But i heard now its tougher to get license.Cuz of idiotic drivers like in Wrqa Smarqa.
So i vote EDI.

belhasa here , my brother too, and everyone want to get driving lisense , i tell them go belhasa !!

every driving school have many instructor, some may be better and some may be worse , the reason i think it is better , simply because most the street around only have 2 lines and there is only 1 roundabout which is only few chance pass by when you are in the road test , i think it is easier than have a driving test somewhere have 3 lines and roundabout all around !!
