I heard that too. They said they have decided NOT to make the Toll booths between Sharjah and Dubai, but in return, they would increase the cost of registering cars to Dh3000. I can't believe this myself!

Anyone of you know anything more about it?

lol i guess its true den heheh i thought it was just rumours basically i heard that from 2006 on u wont be able to register any cars below 2002 basically they r making sure in dubai all new cars r driven but if u already have a car lets say 98 model and u already got a no plate u can register it again and i heard its not 3000 but 2000 :S so if i were u i would go register ur car now rather den in 2006 2000 u have to pay for the toll thingy and normal amount for registration so yeah u can say 3000 or even more if u r payin 800 dhs for insurance :S for a coupe :D

lol betta go and get a sharajah or ajman no plate den

Is this the case for all cars? Or only for the ones that are usually boosted?

I think its going to be for ALL cars regardless of them being modded or stock. But I'm wondering is, how will the other people on lower incomes bare this? Probably those who's entire salary for a month is about the same cost? I don't really think they can implement it in this way.

its really unfair guys, anyone here have a link to a police forum?

i mean we pay about 100% more rent (thank those living in sharjah/ajman) and 99.99% of the traffic here is caused by people driving in from sharjah ... and we have to dish out 2-3000dh extra because of people coming in from sharjah????

no offence to guys living in sharjah, but do u think this is fair?

:nono:
