:) the problem is I want to buy when all broken and cheap and you want to sell when all fixed and expensive!!!!!! LOOOOOOOL

Don't worry, bud, you enjoy that baby; she's worth it.

Maybe try to lessen dependency on Sharjah by doing more work yourself - it's a hell of a drive out there every time...

Hey, the ex-mechanic swore that it would fit in... if you remove the engine!!! LOL

Well... well... I'm actually speechless; utterly spell-bound by her stunning beauty and good condition...

... so I'll let the pics do the talking...

Ok , if you insist , then make some calls to the dealer & ask about some
major parts , like gaskets, seals, water pump, suspension & may be even
gear box ,
mind you starting from next year , cars manufactured prior to 1988 won't
be registered ,
btw if u have a nice backyard to work in , then just add me in :D

Yeah, I know...

It wasn't the dog! :)

I think it's just leaving it parked in the sun for a long time without ever releasing the inside air, so it works like an oven.

The seat leather is crisp like thin plastic - you can poke holes in it with your fingertip.

Well, got down deep and dirty... pulled exhaust manifold, pulled intake manifold, pulled head - looking good.

The water channels are full of rusted particles and that piece of one long bolt is still broken deep inside.

A question if someone knows - how to clean out the water channels (where the coolant circulates in the block) without removing the engine from the car?

:)

Inline 6, 4.2L, dual overhead cams - looks like a tractor engine... I liked the design of the exhaust manifold; headers won't be needed there. Intake manifold is a bit less free-flowing so I might port and polish a bit there while it's out. First order of priority is the broken bolt piece deep down in the block.

woooooooooow
you have already dug deep in there , 1st of all what the hell made a head bolt to
break ?? that should be the 1st question , 2nd is the bottom end dead or what ??
u are talking about a total engine rebuild , bearings & seals & gaskets etc
what most counters in , is geometry & correct engine dimensions ,
as I saw the GREAT MACHINING GURUS workshops in abu dhabi , they are
ALL crap , period .
they don't know any hell crap how to measure & rebuild engines ,
there's an MR2 for sale that needs little tweaks , a dead porsche 993 turbo
in musaffah begging for a rebuild , there's a GTS R32 coupe running good
with abu dhabi plates begging for hard core modding & so on & so on ...
many more choices are there Prossett .
may god help u in ur quest

Yeah, I like doing my own work, but I can't go deeper than the heads because I can't pull the engine at home.

MR2 I know well (the turbo part) as I fixed one up for a buddy last year - it's really an amazing fast car!

Problem is if we start to do it as a business, we will become thieves like all the others!! LOOOOOOL!

Any kind of work in which the person who receives the money can increase that money without any chance of being caught out, he will do it.

It's like going to a dentist and saying: "Do you think my son needs braces on his teeth?".... what the dentist hears is: "Can I give you 10-15,000 Dirhams over the next few months?"

Who will say no?

At first honesty will play a part, and the dentist will say: "No, he's too young, maybe there's no need..." but as the months go by, and his bills accumulate, and his expenses go up... one day, one day he will take it...
