Hey people i saw this bike number plate for sale goin very cheap. i decided a resonable price with the seller. but the problem is i dont have a bike, so can i just keep the number plate in my name? so that when i get the bike i can put it on my bike? :)
Any one here knows the requirenments to transfer the number to my name?
Do i need an NOC from my sponsor or something?
And whats the fees to transfer the number?
Thank You
Gopal

Transfer it to someone's name who owns a bike. When you get yours, transfer it to your name.

No you cannot. I'm very sure :)
You need to own a bike along with having a license. ATM I don't think you have either.

mehdi, I guess that rule applies only for car license plates.

If its a special number plate you can only tranfer it in Deira RTA branch, there they give a 'special number certificate', and you need to bring your original passport.

you can transfer it onto your name without a bike for sure...
need passport copy, visa copy, and original licence with you...
prices are as mehdi said and i think typing was 15 bux...

only clause being,
u need to have the visa AND the licence from the same emirate that you are reserving the numberplate from...(for expats)
locals can reserve any numberplate from any emirate...

you can do this from any Tasjeel or Al Shamil (if thats what its called) branches...
the Tasjeel in Qusais does it for sure.
