heyyy guys help me out !
i hav a 10 yr valid automatic license !
does anybody know the procedure to get a manual ???
and if i get manual license will i get a10 yr valid one or else i hav to renew for three years???

you will need to sit the manual test, check the police/RTA website and if your over 21 they renew it every 10 years

Dear xwg_238, how faar have u reachd with ur investigation ? coz I also need to convert my licence n no one seems to know the exact procedure ... have checkd with RTA and they told me that I need to jst register in an institute and JUST do the driving test but when checked with the Institutes they told me that I need to take ATLEAST 40 classes PLUS lecture classes..which sounds stuped..

Once you find out wats to be done.. if you get the time pls let me knw as well...

guys ... listen ... jus learn how to drive manual n start driving yeah ... n god forbid if u eve get into an accident .... NEVER has an cop checked for me whether i have auto or manual license or whether my car is auto or manual ... n i got into a couple of accidents ...not something to b proud abt but i learned good lessons from it ... so yeah as long as u have a license dont think u will ever face a problem regarding a cop throwing u ouuta ur car sayin HEY MAN U CANT DRIVE A STICK !!! LOL

there is a minor fine though, it was AED 200 earlier, really dunno how much it could be now...

im from india bro ... but believe me ...i jus scrapped my car recently against some dumb construction pole n wanted the accident paper for it ... the cop was very nice ... my licanse is expired since a month ... so was mulkiya etc ... he didnt even ask me a second time ...trust me manual aint that difficult if u have a driving sense ... n if a CID does catch u ... show him ur license ... n he'll b like drive properly etc ...

nop ... luckily no fine as well ... cuz there was no third person involved n the pole i hit was private property ... i went to sharjah to a friend n asked him ... he said he had CID visitng him since 3 days even on a friday !!! so he asked to get the paper ... so i ent back to that place waited for the cops who never came but then they called me to the police station n jus gave me the A4 size paper ...n voila !!!
