Radars in Dubai (General Information)

Guys, nowadays the police patrol cars have a new 'gadget'. It is a white box between the light bar. It is a small radar, they can change direction of that radar(usually facing the fast lane).
It has a camera and a small flash.
I was curious to know more about it, and I found a beemer patrol near my place and I asked him what it was, he told me its dangerous thing for reckless drivers. Surprisingly he even showed me how it worked.
They usually are under interchange's and cruising on Emirates Road.
Beware guys.

The radar situation has went out of control... Now radars will catch you as soon as you drive your car on the roads... Doing 10km/h or 300km/h will no longer make a difference plus radars will also start running behind you to chase you down...

I got flashed on SZR on last sunday TWICE !! One was when i was on 110kph on the 100 road but i did brake to reach 105 by then. But that radar was acting funny it flashed almost everyone who went past it, it was at night about 8-9 . This was towards abu dhabi road. The 2nd radar flash was while going to dubai side on another radar, it flashed me when i was on 90 on SZR !!! ..

But none has come on the system, my dad got a fine on the car like more than 2 months back directly from the police for obstructing traffic(the day when the car came out of showroom for the 1st time

) . When i went to pay the fine to RTA, i showed the slip he is like this fine is not there in the system so you cannot pay.

We got the fine by the 2nd week or 3rd week of May.

Heh UAE bureaucracy. For a visa from Bangkok to here, they are supposed to enter data into their system in Bangkok when the Visa is issued. My friends fly here already and they are stopped at the airport for hours because the data has not been entered yet!

^ Speeding - He was texting while doing a 135kph on that road while it was Empty and dint notice his speed was above the limit !
