Vehicles more than 20 years old will still be allowed on the UAE's roads following instruction from President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The decision, issued on Sunday, postpones implementation of ministerial decision No. 535, 2008, which bans vehicles older than 20 years old on the country's roads. The decision was directed to take effect from Monday, December 1.

IF not today, tomorrow. This rule will come back.
Anyways good news...

But it will be a good news for us when they decided not to reduce the emission value oh HC and CO.

That will be the major reason why cars will fail next year atleast in Abudhabi.

A good good relief. I just happened to see it on the website few minutes ago. Since its only postponed, it will surely come back in few years time. But we all need to be thankful to the government giving more time to people with those cars to organize themselves better before the rule is back in place. The stats showed around 400,000+ cars being affected by this rule, which is a very huge number and could've been total chaos.
