hi guys,
A friend of mine parked his Hyundai Tucson 2007 near majaz park on Jamal Abdul Nasir Road shj. He just went to a shop to get something for less than a minute, when he came out what he saw was somebody taking his car. It happened on tuesday night and still police has no idea where his car is. A cop at buheira police station told him you won't get it back. Just go home and sleep..
So guys will he get any claim from insurance?? The problem is he had left the engine running. Poor guy din't know there was somebody waiting for him.
Guys never leave the engine running, there are lots of similar cases reported in sharjah specially.

Hi ALi,
Unfortunately, this happens quite frequently in Dubai/Sharjah.
A friend of mine had a high-end luxury 4x4 stolen from a petrol station. This was over 2 years ago.
Chances are your friend will not get his car back. It's too common a vehicle for the cops to really care and its probably in parts by now if these thieves are professional.
Insurance will be depend on the company and his relationship with them. Its a difficult point to argue when you've left the keys in the ignition.

And it's against the law to leave a car running with the keys in the ignition btw. Sorry for your friend's loss.
woow, never new that type of stuff goes down in emirates. What did your friend write in the police report? did he say he left the car started? if it was me I would have said i came back and the car was gone end of story. Later go to insurance and claim the car was stolen without any negligence on your part...
most likely like accord said the car has been stripped and the parts are probably being sold in the market right now...down here in Canada you have 12hours to find your car, after that just forget it!!

Im sorry to hear that... Yeah in SHJ it happens.. Once some old guy came to me cuz i left my car running for a minute & started lecturing me that they will steal ur ride if u do that again..
Keep chasing them around & seeing where they went so far if u have a couple of ppl u know in the police get them to sort it out for you.. If they never find the car @ least the case should be closed & insurance would compensate...
