Hello everyone there,
Just have few questions in my mind.
One of my relative is going to buy a Toyota Mark 2.
When i had Toyota Supra 1993 with 1JZ-GTE stock engine, i did race with that guy who is going to sell that Toyota Mark 2.
Me and my realtive were in Toyota Supra 1993 1JZ-GTE, and he said i want you to race me, 1 on 1, from roundabout till bridge, the distance will be 600 meters.
1st gear, we were together, and then, when we shifted 2nd together, he smoked hell out of me.
Its a long story guys, then we did race again, he again smoked me.
I told him to open up the hood.
Here are the deatils:
HKS Racng Intercooler,
Heavy Duty Clutch,
1JZ gear manual,
Stock Twin Turbo,
Racing Suspension,
and those normal things which every grocery racers do it.
Now, the guys wants to sell his Beast.
How much should my realtive buy that car ?
What is thr last and the best price for this kind of car ?
About spare parts, body parts... What is the situation going on in the market ?
i mean, is it easy to get the parts ?
The car is registered from UAQ, and it has only few months to renew its registration and insurance.
So guys, what do you say ?
Shoud we go for it, or...???
Send me your comments...
Regards,
KJ.
Toyota Mark 2
Do it! you wont be disappointed theyre great cars...
Though you'll want to give the car a thorough checkup, after all shes 18yrs old. Hopefully previous owners haven't thrashed it. If its over or close to 200000 kms id stay away from it.
Check the condition of the turbos, unless they've been upgraded with steel wheels, the standard ceramic wheels are only good for 15psi anything over and they'll die especially with that kind of hot weather there!
I myself am in the process of gathering info to try and bring my chaser as well into Dubai. If you ever see the owner again do ask him where he did his RHD to LHD conversion.
Good Luck
