AM radio was the only audio source in a car for years. Then came FM and tape formats such as 8-track and cassette. A CD player is now standard in most vehicles, and many factory head units can also receive satellite radio from the subscription services Sirius or XM. HD Radio has recently given AM and FM better sound and extra features, such as additional channels and information.In addition to controlling the system's volume, head units usually include basic tone controls such as bass and treble to tailor the sound to the listener's taste. Many audio systems also include signal processing that automatically adjusts the volume, depending on the ambient noise in a moving vehicle. Some high-end OEM audio systems also have a separate subwoofer and subwoofer-level controls.

A car stereo system has to have an amplifier to increase the power of an audio signal so it's strong enough to move the speakers and create sound. Amplification is a two-stage process handled by a (preamp( and a (power amplifier).

Many head units have a small, built-in low-power amplifier that can "drive" smaller speakers. This allows the audio system to be reduced to just a head unit and a few speakers
For better sound requires more power. So higher-end systems have separate power amplifiers that are mounted away from the head unit due to their size and the heat they generate.its usually comes with luxury car like MERCEDES,AUDI,BMW ETC.

3.THE SPEAKERS(soundwaves)
Speakers take an amplified electrical signal from headunit and convert it into mechanical energy that moves the speaker cone back and forth to create sound. Sound is essentially vibrations in the air that we hear, and a speaker cone creates these vibrations. The human ear hears these vibrations in a frequency range from about 20 hertz (very low bass(woofer or subwoofer) to 20,000 Hz (very high notes(tweeter). for better soundways woofer or subwoofer required. in modern car OEM system,these speakers are consist of 1 ohm and 2 ohm. an aftermarker speakers they all are 4ohm.

4.OHM in speakers
The ohm (symbol: Ω)in speakers or woofer behind the magnet,The ohm is the unit of measure for impedance, which is the property of a speaker that restricts the flow of electrical current through it. Typical speakers have impedance ratings of 1ohm, 2ohm, 4ohms,8 ohms or 16 ohms

a woofer is a speaker that focuses on the low-end of the sound spectrum. These speakers cover a frequency range from 20 to 5,000 Hz.its usually run by a external amplification,due to heavy output and input modern car its equipped with OEM woofer usually in parcel shelf behind back seat.
subwoofer, is a loudspeaker unit designed to produce extremely low-frequency bass sounds. Subwoofers cover a small frequency range between 20 and 200 Hz. They usually contain in a large speaker enclosure.

Woofers and subwoofers are commonly housed in sealed enclosures. The speaker enclosure plays an important role in the proper functioning of low-frequency speakers, as its purpose is to increase the clarity of the sound and reduce distortion.below are the types of enclosures.

A.(Infinite Baffle (Freeair)
The infinite baffle system is very simple and very easy to install. A baffle board is a wall the speaker is mounted to that separates the front and rear sound waves. The most important thing is to make sure the baffle board completely seals the front and rear areas. If the areas are not completely sealed, cancellation will occur and bass performance will be reduced drastically.

B.(Sealed Enclosures)
The most basic and simple of all speaker enclosures is the sealed box or acoustic suspension design.The acoustic suspension design has several advantages; it is easy to build, easy to tune and offers high power handling, tight response and extended low end output. Acoustic suspension enclosures produce lower bass because they roll off at 12 dB per/octave. Cone motion is better controlled at all frequencies because of the constant pressure on the back side of the cone, which enables you to run more power to the woofer

C.(Vented Enclosures)
A vented enclosure is not much more complex than a sealed box. It consists, basically, of a box with a hole in it. However, despite its simple design, vented boxes are considerably harder to get good performance from than sealed boxes - although many times the extra effort can be worth it.The vent in the enclosure interacts with the volume of air in the cabinet and the driver to help increase output and reduce cone excursion at and around the tuning frequency. In fact, at box tuning, almost all the bass is produced by the vent - not the woofer.

For all of you those have not much enough knowledge about audio system,when replacing the speakers.please approach to the relative person regarding the issue.when ever anybody trying to replace stock system, go through all the system. OEM equipped system is little hard to replace with an aftermarket things due to their high impedance Ω in speakers. if you just replace the required speakers without knowing the stock speakers impedance Ω. chance are you will going to burn your headunit or amplifier or less output from new speakers. good luck and have a pleasant day. if need help please always feel free to contact me.
