Hahaha!!! Mike earlier it was Mike's supercharger fund... not jst boost... I bet u found some exciting turbo options and hence the doubt....

Buddy regarding the 16cm speakers ur talking about...Tats around 6 inches.
The front speakers are normally around 5.5 or 6 inches maybe even lesser.
I dont think u cud prolly fit those in the door pads and rear trays if the size is different...
Check ur front speakers... read the manual... and get the exact size speaker as replacement... I have gone thru hell becoz people end up bringing all weird size speakers and i end up altering the front door pads to fix them..
We will go for JBL component speakers in the front..

And if ur rear speakers are ovals.... U can go for oval speakers from JBL or Boston..

Hmmm didn i answer this question before....

Listen carefully buddy... we are replacing the stock speakers and no more questions asked...
Also u can stick with the tube sub one piece option...
So lets get ur car prepped up with JBL stuff... single brand... tat wud be kewl...

Regarding the cost... I wont be of much help here..
maybe i can sort out the parts and u can check the actual market rate and come to ur own conclusion...
but i assure u... it wont stay in 1500.........
I will peice together the system for u...
ITs upto u to decide...

The fixing part... get some decent installer in dubai.. or I can do if for u on a weekend if u come to AUH... hahaha!! but u have to leave the car from morn to evening.... take care...

Hey I believe u have 6.5inch speakers in the front and the same at the back...
Can u check in that case...
Anyways like i said... i am going to give u a complete set of JBL...
Reason : Good brand image and good quality... Improved overall listening experience.

Amplifier For Sub (Almost 1000W peak output)
CS Series : CS300.1
300W RMS at 4 Ohms
400W RMS at 2 Ohms
Approx Price : Dhs 700 AED

Amplifier for Speakers ( Almost 800W peak output)
CS Series : CS60.4
60W RMS x 4 at 4 Ohms
Approx Price : Dhs 700 AED

Sub Woofer
Grand Touring Series : GTO1204D
Dual Coil system, 4 Ohms each coil.
Set it at 2 Ohm total by parallel connection.
300W RMS power handling
1200W Peak Power handling
Approx Price : Dhs 450 AED

Speakers
Grand Touring Series : GTO627
6-1/2" (16 cm) 2-Way Loudspeaker also known as Multi-elements by JBL
60W RMS power handling
180W Peak Power handling (4 speaker, ie front and back total 720W)
Approx Price for two pairs : 450 x 2 : Dhs 900

Total
900 + 450 + 700 + 700 = Dhs 2750
(price determined based on U.S)

hehehe!! tats only for the amps and speakers
Add additional cost for the wiring, sub enclosure and a good amount for fixing...
YOu cud probably start with Sub and amp...
Later on move towards the rest....
The choice is yours.. but i recommend u to stick with a good brand if not jbl...
AS u can see i have worked on the power ratings and any good brand with similar ratings would work for u.... Make sure RMS vales matches...

Good luck..

Alrite alrite....
But then.... why dont u go for the sub and mono block amp upgrade....

Then Add the speakers....

LAter on go for the AMp upgrade for the speakers...

Honestly then u will find something interesting to look forward to...

Incase the above detail doesnt digest. please dont and fall for some silly brands...
Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, Sony... tats as low as u can go...
One thing i assure u... these brands wont give u the sound quality when is comes to the 6.5 inch speakers... for those go for either JBL or Boston acoustics....
Tats all..

Hey there Neo

need your suggestion...

here's my Current Setup....

I got a Stock Infinity System with stock amp in the boot ...
all I have is a 4 Channel 250W Amp connected to a 250W RMS 12" Earthquake Sub which was added later...also...a Kenwood headunit which was installed later..

Now...the bass volume is not cut on the stock speakers......so the bass levels are Being sent to the Sub as well as the speakers so I get a pretty bad jarr ..the speakers have damn good fidelity but bad at low end(pretty obvious if you try to push a small driver to its limits)....I have been looking fer a Decent Equalizer which cuts out the low end and sends out a seperate SUBOUT...(I know it exists...just cant find it here)...

heres what I wanna do:-
1)I want to get a Equaliser to cut the bass, have EQ Control and give SUB OUT...
2)I have a spare 250WRMS 12" EarthQuake Sub mated with a 250W Xplode Amp
which I wanna install ...(i'll be Having 2 subs at the end)
3)I want to replace my Stock amplifier....the stock infinity Speakers are really powerful...but I found out the amplifier is pretty horrible...

now....my budget...I would like to get/install all this within 1000Dhs..
I might have to change BOTH the sub boxes to fit in the boot

what do you suggest NEO ?! :)

Haha!!! Really interesting... but give me a days time... I jst saw it and its pretty late for me to start answering coz i will end up sleeping late and screwing up at work...
Inshallah u will have ur answer by tomorrow....
So do me a favour, tell me which car do u have and if u can find the infinity amp, fine how many inputs it has got and how many outputs....
I have worked on infinity amp which received 4 channels and converts it into 8outputs....
By saying stock infinity system u mean infinity speakers inside the car, right!
So ur telling me the Kenwood HU is connected to the Infinity amp currenty to drive the speakers.
Can u tell me how have u connected the 4 channel 250W kenwood amp to the HU?
Is it to the rear speaker wires from the HU or is it RCA out on the back on HU,
Tell me How many RCA out (Pre out)is available on the Back of HU, the Hu manual wud help u wit it. It will also tell u if u have seperate SUB control option in the amp... please mention the model number of kenwoord amp and Hu.

I think i know wat could help you achieve ur goal, but ur answer to my question is crucial for that...

Hey neo....

Okay...I dont have a Kenwood Amp...just the Kenwood HU...

from the HU...I think its connected to the Stock Infinity Amp by RCA out...

now I had a look at the amp...its not a regular one...I cant make out how many inputs or outputs there are....there are no knobs,no switches nothing..
its basically Hidden in the Carpet in the side of the boot....and all I can see its wires going through the amp...and the speakers are connected to this amp..
also...from the HeadUnit...the Sub amp (2 channel Blaupunkt 250W) is connect to RCA OUT also...so am guessing the HU has 2 outputs...but not a Subout...
Its a 97 Dodge Intrepid BTW...

to make it easier for you to understand what I have and What I want...I made these Diagrams...

Stock System:-
Image

and these 2 systems is want I would want...

System #1 :-
Image

OR

System #2 :-
Image

this is the basic connections....now I just need to know what brand of amps or EQ's or how I could make the layout better...

My main goal is to cut the Bass from the Stock speakers...(if I cut the bass from the HU the bass from the SUB will also be cut...and I wouldnt want to boost the bass from the Sub amp as the Definetion of the bass is lost)

So.....any suggestions?!

Thnx Alot :D :P

EDIT : Just found out its not a 7 speaker system....but 8 Speaker system...
instead of the center front tweeter...it has a seperate tweeter on each rear speaker...(it doesnt say wether its 2 way or not.....I just saw the wiring diagram of my amp and it has SPEAKER Inputs....and 8 Speaker Outputs...
so the amp doesnt have RCA in or out.....)

hope this helps....heres the link to the Wiring of my stock infinity system..

Cool, seems like u have done the whole home work....
To fit things into the budget I would recommend you go with system 2.
I m talkin about the system 2 option as u have figured out. Only Require an additional amp, or additional 2 amps to give it the best shot... and Wires!

Hence u can have the best possible amps and leave room to upgrade to system 1 in the future. (Adding electronic Crossover)

These days amps comes with built in cross overs.
Set the AMP(1) to High pass mode for the one connects to the speakers.
So u have no crappy bass coming out from those cute speakers.
Use the bypass/out RCA connection from the
amp(1) to connect to the SUBWOOFER amp(2)
If u havent got a sub woofer amp yet.
I recommend a monoblock with Subsonic boost and Remote sub boost controller. (Sony explode 250W PMPO amp wudnt pump great deal to ur EQ RMS 250W sub) So go for the 1400W sony mono block, D class amp... it support 2 ohms... (jst and example)
So u can connect two subs parallel, and i guess each sub would be 4 ohms and the effective would be 2 ohms.

Hence u have a realistic bass in the lower bandwidth and by installing the seperate bass controller near the steering wheels u can manage the bass...

I know wat infinity system u r talkin about coz I have the same amp lying at my dadz place. I removed it from a Chrysler newyorker... And i fixed it with dual amp config, There is the pic of the installation in the forum.

Go ahead and use the same speaker wiring but be carefull coz u can see four wires going into each speaker. ;)
Use the chart u send me to determine speaker wire.

I am color blind and i had real hard time working on the wiring.

Currently the kenwood HU is connected to the infinity amp thru speaker out.

Use RCA out for ur setup...

I am not going to recommend any specific amp... only that...
Get the best money can buy... dont hesitiate... dont spend money for electronic crossovers... coz the good ones wont fit into ur budget and u will try to squeeze it in by cuttin down on the amp cost.. never do that... pls dont...

Talk to me if u need anything else.. we can work on this... peace.

Dont listen to me on this one.. my personal fav based on experience,
Top brands -MTX, Fosgate, Kicker, JL Audio etcc...
Mid Range- Infinity, JBL, Pioneer, Alpine...
Entry Level- Sony, Kenwood, Clarion...
(many wud differ on this one)
Now therez another level that wud call as reference level.... Lets not get into details...
JBL would sound really nice... i mean there are available in plenty and good support... Infinity aint bad either... Fosgate is insanely expensive for the kind of performance...

Recently in one of the suv with a infinity sub installed met with a small accident... The sub was hit by a metal rod... fortunately since the aluminium cone, it was bend and i bend it back to shape... imagine if it was a paper cone or fiber cone.... Replace the sub... :)
