I have got a JBL 500W Basstube and rear speakers (40Wx2) connected to a 500W Kenwood 4 channel amp...
but its not giving enough bass compared to my friends 500W Bass tube connected to 350W Kenwood Amp...
i have taken output directly from the headunit...
but in my friends car the output is taken from the rear speaker to amp to woofer...
y is this happening...
is it because of a poor headunit... (i'm asking this because the headunit is not a branded one)
is it because of poor amp setting
is it because of wrong connection from head unit to amp...(btw...how do we normally connect a head unit to amplifier)
this is how my head unit is connected to amp
Audio Config Probz...

the woofer is connected to Channel A ( 2 channels bridged)
and rear speakers are connected to Channel B (2 channels)
and rear speakers are connected to Channel B (2 channels)
Which car does your friend have ??
coz i've got a 250W kenwood amp and a 1000W kenwood woofer in my car (Civic)
and my brother's got a 640W Kenwood Amp, 400W x 2 Kenwood Speakers and 1000W kenwood Woofer
and my car's got more bass than his car. the reason being that his car his larger in size compared to my car.
Or
You can try changing the tube into a box, that also makes a difference

and this altimazz got damn huge bootspace...
3mro i think this is the prob...
bass probs can be from both amp and the HU....non-branded HU usually dont give the right audio quality..try saving up money and get a better HU which gives you better quality + more audio options to adjust everything to ur ears!!!...
as from what i have seen on ur daigram try to connect all ur speakers to the HU and leave the amp just for the woofer.....you can then try to bridge the connection so you can get more power from the amp for the woofer!!...the thing is closed trunks make it harder for you to feel the bass!!!...
if it was mee i would get rid of the tube..there not that great to tell u the truth..iv used them before broo..better go for 2poineer 1200watt premier edition woofers..and get the enclosed in a magna box...get a 1000watt kenwood mono block amp..and then feel the difference!!...ul go mad!!!
i hope it was good enough advice..the next person you should ask is neo...he can help u better!!

Well i saw this one now and I was about to tell u the same thing.
Always remember LPF stands for low power frequency.
And the Channel that supports LPF will some kinda subsonic filter, bass boost etc...
So you can always pump more bass than normal to get what you need.
And When u do have a proper sub and crappy speakers.
Set the other channel to HPF so its cuts out the bass to the speakers...
Trust me these speakers, their mounts and enclosures arent meant to handle the bass that would come thru the amp.
So instead of hearing the clear bass from the Sub, you would get crappy bass due to the mix of bass from the smaller speakers.
When i say crappy speakers, i meant sony, kenwood, clarion, etc. etc...
Expensive component speakers can handle decent bass without distortion but its always best to cap them off at 150hz, anything below that would require an enclosure to reproduce.
And your worst enemy is the panel vibrations. I hate them its giving me a headache in my Tiburon.
Also keep in mind the polarity of the speakers. The moment you reverse the polarity the bass goes dead....
Happy Pimping...
