dealers that supply kenwood will always say stick with kenwood bcoz they want to make money. they can give to shits less if you end up liking the system or not.

neo very nice post, i find it so hard to sum up things like you did in your last long post. i guess there is nothing more to say. if you want to go for a affordable in-dash player try this combination out:

Poineer DVH-P5950MP. it can play dvd, vcd and all that stuff, and then just grab a AVT in-dash screen which just you can play the dvd's through the poineers AUX.

BUT

If you want the ultimate in-dash player then i consider waiting for this :

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... AVIC-F90BT .....this is the craziest thing i have ever came around. i got a chance to play around with it at a local car meet. i was just awwwww'd at how awesome it was..

otherwise K.I.S.S (keep it simple stupid) and get a normal poineer HU and invest your money on power and bass ....

Hi Guys...

now lemme ask a smal doubt here...

Headunit
Kenwood DPX-MP4100B
http://india.kenwood.com/products/car/2 ... index.html

Rear Speaker
Pioneer TSA6992R
5-Way 6 x 9 Inch Speaker with 460 Watts Maximum Power (80 Watts Nominal)

Front Speaker
Pioneer TSA1682R
4-Way 6-1/2 Inch Speaker with 280 Watts Maximum Power (50 Watts Nominal)

Amplifier
KAC 6403
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /4713.html

Woofer
JBL 500W Bass Tube (125RMS) 10 Inch

i know the woofer is pretty underpowered, should hav gone for atleast 1000W
for now the rear speakers and woofer is connected to the amplifier

ITS A VERY UNCLEAR BASS COMING FROM THE TUBE... BUT IF I FOLD DOWN ONE OF THE REAR SEAT (BTW...I DRIVE AN ALTIMA) AND PULL THE TUBE A LIL BIT TOWARDS INSIDE THE CAR THE BASS GETS BETTER AND MORE CLEAR.... BUT ITS NOT COMFORTABLE TO KEEP THE REAR SEATS FOLDED DOWN ALWAYS AS I USUALLY CARRY MORE THAN 2-3 PEOPLE IN MA CAR...

SO ANY WAY OUT OF THIS??????

is there any help IF I GET A MUCH POWERFUL WOOFER (SOMTHING LIKE 1200W)

thnx in advance...

- n ! n -

Rogue... If i had a chance... i would definitely pick the pioneer over any other HU u mentioned.
Blue tooth aint a big thing for me now coz my Garmin GPS does the job pretty well.

newimprovednf
I thought u had a mazda...

If you got the system tweaked and installed by a person who knows how to do his job you can follow the rest. Else if you system is not tuned well, see someone who can do it... then test the sound.. see if you are satisfied... then decide for the path below.

HU seems to be fine...

Rear Speakers seems to be okay.

Front speakers needs to go and instead a component speakers should be in place.
Get the best comp speakers u can buy.

Keep the amp and connect all the four speakers to it.

Get another sub atleast 500W RMS. (Any brand would do)
Get a mono block AMP with 500 to 600W RMS. (Any brand would do)
Or
Get a prebuild setup which has RMS 500 W
1) Sub + Box + AMP
2) Sub + Box and seperate amp.
Get someone to tweak ur system.
Please dont skip on decent wires to your trunk.
Any normal branded power wires and get a better quality RCA cables.

And see if this solves your problem. If it doesnt. Time to do sound proofing in ur trunk.

You should be doing good.

heyyy.... thnx Neo.... yep...i had Maz3 ..but sold it an year back...
now happy wid altima... :D

i have no idea about this connections....

as u kno there are 2 pre out for the HU so one goes for the present 500W amp to 4 speaker and the second out goes to mono amp to woofer... am i rite????

and wer can i get the woofer enclosure done with accuracy... as its not a micky mouse thingy... its all abt measurements...

Hmmm!!!
To avoid all complications I recommended the subwoofer with enclosure package...
I saw the kicker package in Rogues car and it was pretty good. Compact and reliable.

So with only two preout you will lose your fader function in the stereo. There are other was to avoid that..

Since you have to change the woofers and the amp powering it... Go ahead and get some nice package...
Rogue says he got it for approx 3 grands, the woofer, enclosure and the kicker amps....
