Hi guys,

Need some info for a friend. His ride's an Infiniti G35, 2007 model. He was interested in installing navigation in it. So any advises regarding the same? Andy any good place where he can get it done?
He checked one place in Deira, guy told him it would cost him around 1400 dhs with installation and claims that it is original Infiniti Navigation.
The guy also has another company's system, Gramin and that would cost around 2500 dhs.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
Cheerio!

Are you sure it is 2007? Does it have a display already?

Nav is an option. Brother bought the Fx35 2008, with 35k kms on the clock from the showroom, and has the display and everything, but Garmin GPS is a 3k option.

heya, well if you are looking for GPS, just go and get a simple one from places liek Sharaf DG or Carrefour. Good prices and good bundle offers.
i had bought one once and works perfect. was Myio brand.it an load mp3s,pics,etc in its SD card and has a good screen too ;p

dont let those naif and shj ppl rip your pocket and ur car apart.
they claim anything to be orignal there ...trust me :)
get a decent gps and your good to go.

about the cd and payment plans..
well mostly garmins are like that.you have to renew every year or buy maps and then update by buying them cds which cost like 700-800 etc..
i would suggest you the brand Mio. it is around 745-800 max. works fine with all the roads and has the whole GCC in it.
no payments.just buy it once and use.(confirm with the sales guy now since i bought it last year)
any updates then it can be connected to the pc via usb n update ;p
simple and easy.

zeeshankhn here was talking about getting the nav capability in his stock HU?

zeeshankhn, I suggest you go talk to the dealers if it is only the CD that your friend needs or does it require a hardware/software update.

i knw what zeeshankhn was telling but just gave him an alternative.
the dealers will be pricey as hell...all the best if you taking that route :)

mr.boost, abt the gps and pricing i mentioned..well its corect.
pay the price once and purchase, get in your car and start using it :)
(but again, confirm with the salesman that its not needed to renew or cd updates etc)
if you want ill get you the specific model number, and you can check it out..
