iPhone has a brilliant display and millions of apps while the N8 is better at everything else.

Do think about battery life, since the Iphones' suck at that.

iPhone 4 apparently has great battery life.
I don't know which one I'd go for as I don't really like touchscreen phones. I don't like Apple and all their iGayshit either.

I have used the Iphone 4. I was promoting it, apart for Elife for Etisalat while working for them. I felt the battery difference since they reduced the phone hardware size to make space for a larger battery but it still ain't enough for media content and web browsing.

The battery life runs around a day or two depending how many apps you use, how much music you listened too and offcourse the biggest factor is the 3G service on/off.

Well theres no point of getting a smartphone if you don't use 3G and iPhone 4 dies out in about 10 hours if using 3G!

Hey
Well, I think I can help you with that.. I LOVE mobile phones, and i had almost all Nokia's you can think of, except the for the N8... I got the iPhone 4 because im just fed up with Nokia... their phones are interesting and have some good features. BUT ever since Nokia started making new phones every 2 hours things got really missy and all their new phones became really bad in terms of reliability and all Their phones had some serious software and hardware faults. I think this still applies to the N8. That doesn't mean that the iPhone 4 is better! the iPhone is better in terms of applications and multimedia (except for the camera) but it is still stupid, you can't use the Bluetooth for transferring data, you have to download an application to do that, and you have to pay for it! but there's still a solution which is jailbreaking. If you jailbreak the iphone you can download almost all sort applications you can imagine. Still that's not a very good solution, I did all that, but then yesterday the iphone's PHONE froze! (I can't make calls because the keypad is frozen) I wanted to reboot, but the iphone didn't start again! i had to download the software again, and thank God I had a backup of all my contacts! this could be a bug in the new firmware (4.2.1) but i still think the iphone is just not worth going through all this... so if I were you I would choose the N8 and incase of any fault (God forbid) you can always take it to the dealer, and they may even give you a new phone. Sorry for the long reply

Ok then, the iphone 4 is perfect for that, but make sure that the software it has is anything other than 4.2.1 or even 4.2. I think it comes with the 4.1 software. Do not update it but definitely jailbreak it and install "installous", you can find the method online
best of luck
