Golf Hmm.. not bad, but do u think u can maintain it.. German cars r known for expensive parts, especially old ones

I'd say stick to japanese.. corolla, sunny, civic.. etc (4 door) 1995 or older will be easily under 5k!

Here are some i could find on dubizzle:

VW and Seats have a poor resale value so you can get a good buy for the budget.. But i suggest you do some research and find a proper knowledgeable garage to take care of these cars. Also VW/seat OEM parts sold over here are usually given away for an expensive price specifically from the dealer so you need to know where to source them for cheap.. You can aswell get spare parts for them online... Find a clean well taken care of one along with a service history, a well maintained car is a reliable car whatsoever the brand is..
You dont want to be careful if the owner is selling away to save money on a costy service/part replacement coming soon.. Those cars usually have the timing belt running around the tensioners and the water pump which makes it a costy replacement..
