Go for that Lotus! Just make sure it's a legit ad, and get the VIN to do a Carfax.

so I checked out the ceffy today
wasnt bad, but the guy wants 20,000dhs now, but he reckons he will tidy it up. Body and paint was a little rough, but he reckons he will respray it white and fix all that
Good points. Obviously the rb25det, r33 gearbox (I didnt get under the car and check, but it did shift like a r33 box), r33 diff (seemed pretty tight too), r33 brakes as well, front 5 stud is drilled out hub back is r33 hubs
Things i didnt like, well the drilled front hub, would much proffer s14/15 items instead. comp was stock, turbo was stock (at least it was only on stock boost too), suspention heated spring to lower, oh and the cat back 2 inch....I understand why but yeah.
Problem for me is I always compare to back home prices. There are soo many car here much cheaper than back home. Problem with this car is although its a decent car, engine sounded pretty healthy, sure the guy has no doubt given it a bit, but nothing a 25 cant take and had a r33 gear box in it (which is huge for me) I still think back home you could get something similar for around the same maybe a little more. I have also owned plenty of jap cars in my life, maybe I should try something different for a bit.

Yeah am debating the offroad options too
checked out a cl55 and 2003 911 turbo today. The cl55 was a very nice example very well looked after. It was defiantly one of the more expensive ones out there though and had close to 100,000kms. The 911 had a few plastic bits that needed replacing and the rear wing hydraulics need re doing. The 911 was tiptronic which is a - for myself, but as far as auto's go defiantly one of the better ones out there. Also I said I am not too restricted price budget wise the 911 is very much at the top of my budget ceiling so I will have to make sure i can afford to maintain it, needs a service soon etc. I have to admit this was the first 996 turbo I have been in and it did feel kind of tame compared to what i am used to. Will make a great daily though
havn't looked at any offroaders yet, but if anyone knows of anything decent for sale post away

Avoid the dealer called Deals on Wheels at all costs. That's all I'm going to say.

Both look like good deals. The only issue I would have with the fj cruiser is its almost too good/new. In a way I would want something I am not afraid to roll.....Ozimandius wrote:Offroader:
