Laps around Dubai Autodrome in Cayman S

Decent video Ziad. What was your average speed while cornering and on the straightways of the track?

I was quite slow. I was lapping in just under 3mins. The intermediate/pro drivers were lapping in around 2.30-2.35. It was my first time on a track ever! so I had no idea what gear I should be in and where the racing line was... I took most corners in second gear on that day, which means speeds of 90kph or so. Not that fast. I was more focused on learning the track than going fast.

I was there again last week. I had the chance to ride with the intermediate/pro drivers and I had one of them ride with me. They gave me lots of good pointers... after that my lap times were down to 2:40-2:45ish which is a good improvement. I haven't uploaded the video from it yet. I'll do that in a couple of weeks when I'm back in Abu Dhabi. I'll be able to tell you what speed I was doing once I edit the new video.

You could definitely improve on that. Not bad at all for a first try. All the best for your lap times.
