I never thot dat a mazda 3 can be that tough wid a civic ! or is it like he wasnt doing that good

If I am not wrong 2006 Civics got 1.8L engine LXI or... so, 06 Civics have 200 CC advantage on Mazda's MZR 1.6L engine :)

How can you drive differently? Unless you talk about cornering, but the "race" seems to be just straight.

It ain't difficult putting your foot down, and let the car do the rest. It's not really that you need to shift at the right point.

Well! last year one of my class mate bought Mazda 3 and he had been using Mazda 323, as he said Mazda 3 is really good car say accleration, say comfort as he was using 323, he knew what kind of improvement Mazda did thn bla bla bla...

After that guy another one in the college got 3... I mean I didnt expect this to happen other than Corolla... now I am over in the college so dont know how many 3's might guys buying, they say its fun driving 3 (Y) 1 said to have accelerating along with Mercedes C class and was just beside... :o wow!!

So I say so many good thing I have heard on Mazda 3 and people dosnt say that to mew shape Lancer despite so much improvement... now I guess you know what I mean.

I dont if the cars of this days still have overdrive button, but my Prado has...
Now! It so happed on Sheikh Zayed Road, a Merc ML wasnt moving despite having second lane empty, as my Prado aint that powerful comparing ML, a 2.7L I4 and that ML with somthing V6/8, just preesing hard on gas wasnt helping at all... so I switched off my overdrive and RPM jumped around 5K and I moved on to 3rd lane to overtake and I was acclerating faster than ML as he was pushing too (You might say tht ML guy wasnt pushing hard, believe me when I moved he also started acclerating, I could see how fast he crossed the car on 2nd lane) and I came back infront of that ML on 1st lane...

So I thought if this can be stated HOW DO YOU DRIVE having auto tranny???

What do you say Mikeh...

masabgt I really liked the story wid the mazda ! I wish If I could experience it !

The other day I done a race wid Peugot (spelling?) 307 ! at the 1st go I smoked him on a very slow motion and at the 2nd go ( i think this is where we both kicked the peddals at the sametime) I was right before him but couldn't go any further !

the question is what are the configuration of Peugot 307!? is it 1.6 or higher !?

Comment? Hard to say as weight plays a factor as well...
All weights with manual trans.

Tiida weighs - ...................~ 2620 lb. (hatch)
Mazda 3 - ........................~ 2700 lb. (taken of US website that has 2.0L engine, so it would probably weigh a little less in UAE)
Toyota Corolla - ...............~ 2550 lb.
Honda Civic - ................... ~ 2630 lb.
(~ means aprox.)

in a straight line the Maz3 would loose hands down to a Civic.(my opinion)
But for a Corolla and tiida it would be alot closer

You forgot to mention that the Tiida also comes with:
1.8L - 135hp - 19kg-m of torque as well.....

A tiida hatch with a 1.8 would be pretty fast.... i would definitely not underestimate it....

Torque is what really gets you going, and im sry to say, but the Maz 3 isnt up to the mark in comparison to its competitors... :?
