yeah all the ones that came here were either 2.0 or 2.4 i think, lots of people do the swaps to SR's or RB's. If you get a RHD for the track you'll need to trailer it there and back, it cant be driven on the road

In all seriousness, If I got one with a sohc rb24, then swapped on an r33 head and loom real neat, Then switch to 4 valve pistons, not sure of the heights? I am not sure what the pistons of the 24 look like? are they flat tops? will they work with the 25 head? then used stock r33 turbo manifold, machine the stock r33 housings with a 2871 52 trim core (Back home we fit 3071r cores in stock r33 turbos), pink label rb25 afm (possibly z32) and a nistune realtime eprom in the stock ecu.

This should pass rego and not be able to be impounded? as the block part number would match, wiring, computer and turbo (even has nissan on the comp housing from memory) will appear stock.

Also If you get your car impounded for being modded, when you pick it up can you just drive off and keep driving or do you have to pass an inspection to be able to drive it again? Also If you leave it impounded for the 30days, do you only have to pay 500dhs?

You just drive off, no inspections.
And if you leave it impounded for 30 days, you just have to pay 500 dhs.

Oh you can just drive off. Wow thats kinda crazy. And if you leave it impounded for longer its cheaper for you? wow things are really backwards here. Back home you got charged each day your car is impounded......and it added up quick!

Well that makes me feel better

Haha I know stuff here is a bit harder to comprehend.
You'll get charged a daily parking fee of 100 if you don't take it after 30 days.

Swaps are real easy and direct fits on the ceffy. Impounding is usually due to exhaust, burnouts, lowering or tints and they don't care about the engine. Registration is another story though..

AND in Sharjah they are alot more strict when it comes to car modding. In Dubai they DON'T pull you over for lowering your car for example... generally people get in the most trouble with exhaust systems

^True. Dubai is stricter considering tints and more an@l in general whether you have contacts, speak Arabic or not... whereas in Sharjah we get by with all that and more :D
