Does anyone has encountered any of these 64-bit processors? Are they really faster? [and easier if you code in assembly (registers and such)..]
64bit CPU's
64bit CPU's like AMD are awesome ... specially on games. ull be able to see the full functions and performance of a 64bit CPU's after 64bit softwares and operating systrems are released. Right now wer only on the 32bit era.mikeh wrote:w00t.. i'm the first one here..

Note: if ur goin to use AMD 64's processors .. choose ABIT motherboards. trust me .. its the best combo. ABIT motherboards are the best in OVERCLOCKING, GAMING etc. Im currently using AMD 64's and ABIT Fatality series motherboard

Well here's the specs that i've promised you 
Motherboard - ABIT AN8 32X Sli
Processor - Athlon 64 X2, Athlon 64 FX, Athlon 64
Memory - CORSAIR XMS DDR 400 PC3200 or KINGSTON HyperX DDR 400
Graphic Card - GeForce 6800GT
CPU FAN - Aero 7 socket 939
Power Supply - 400 - 500W
other parts u can choose what ever u want like Hard Disk, CD Rom, etc. u need to change the stock CPU fan with an Aero 7 for better cooling and Power supply should be at least 400-500W in able to get the best performnce of ur Computer. this memory comes with Heat Sink already. ill explain it further or browse for picture of these parts if u wnat to see how they look .. or i can help u buy these item in computer plaza and even help u assemble it
if u have these parts .. expect a turbo charge PC .. specially on gaming

i got this 4 and a half years ago now the thing is i want to change it a bit
wht should i change first as i m lackinga lot of funds like should i start with the motherboard change it for now n install the 2.4 ghz processor on it n the rest remains the same for now will that giove me sum boost in performance?

well ur Processor and Motherboard is quite ok ull juz have to change teh :
RAM get a 2x DDR 400 PC3200 = 1 GB RAM
Power Supply 400-500 watts
Video Card at least GeForce or XFX 6600 GT, 6600, 6800 .. this video cards are enough to boost ur PC in gaming
