yeah, they have a pretty huge Getz Community in Phills Getzclub.com ... I have ben in contact with so many ppl just to get that bodykit ...

speaking of which ...

I failed my registration today, because of my bodykit .. can ANYONE explain to me why the guy was so mean to me?

"No! the bumper and the side is not original! not allowed!!"

"but so many ppl here in Dubai have modified Cars ... why is my car failing THIS part??"

"NOT allowed... you changed your bumpers!! not original not allowed!!"

"so what should I do now?"

"I don't know! come tomorrow morning and ask the RTA guy... tz.. not allowed!!..."

stupid moron!!!

I don't get it .. why do SO many cars pass ( which look MUCH worst than mine, they fall apart!! and they pass..)

That sucks man.. maybe because it has no logo's?

Otherwise, don't re-register your vehicle. only insuracnce.. and pay the 150dhs fine

lol .. that's too cool man .. if you did that in germany .. you'd loose not only your Drivers license .. you'd also be forced to go to court .. ^^

I'll try it tomorrow .. and let the RTA guy check it .. the guy who installed the bodykit said that it's redicoulus ... (I could fake a "Brabus" logo or AMG ^^... and call it ... AMGee ... ^^ lol ..

oh my .. I was so pissed earlier .. but now I'm cool .. I'm optimistic again! lol

After talking to their mechanic guy, he was not so happy, he said I failed again, so I asked to speak with their supervisor, they have talked to him and the only thing HE said was...

"why are you doing this to him?" "no problem!!! Let him pass!"

oh man seriously ... I think the mechanic guy didn't like me or something ...

now I have a new reg ... and I'm happy ...

hey any idea of where I could modifie my engine (in Dubai) so it would still be registered!? maybe like boring the cylinder body or what ever?

Best thing, is to check the engine forums here...

Best guess you would do is : cold air intake, headers and exhaust (but then they wont pass it anymore)

Then upgrade your cams, fuel tuner, lightweight pulleys, ...

and..

Seriously what's wrong with the law here??? it used to be a tuners paradise... and now ... "you have a feather of a bird in your engine ... trying to install engine wings huh??? this is illegal!! we won't pass you!!"

I hate laws that don't make sense .. and other cars like BMW 7 series are M3 modified and get flashed by radars with 250 kmh ... wtf??
