i heard there is a car show this friday, is it true???
if yes then who all frm ub showing up?

Friday 24th-jun modified car show&competition in Al Mumzar open beach oregnized by Dubai Police in assosiation with the International day of 'Say No To Drug'. i called them up they said if you want to participate you need to register between 4-6pm on the same day. Also there is a AED 50 charge.

I will be going if you are coming why not list your name here? Keep add your name and post the entire list as a post. So every1 can see the last post and see who all are coming.

OK, I am just asking this. Set me straight if I am wrong.
In Dubai it is pretty much illegal to modify your car. Even an aftermarket exhaust will gain you a fine and your car impounded for a month or more (unless you are a local or have wasta).
Dubai Police are organizing a modified car show.

no point in entering my Subaru as it isn't a show car, doesn't even have a stereo in it. I've been using ipod speakers for the past year. But even the message of the show "Don't do drugs! drive fast cars!" And correct in what James said, just changing a filter to a KN is illegal in there eyes yet they can organise a modified car show...

We've had this discussion before, as to why Dubai Police would hold such an event, as it isn't the first time. I wouldn't want to turn up for this event as they might fine me for my exhaust!

but guys, what about the car show in expo last year?! outside expo (back side) all the cars had exhaust systems and were lowered, and they had dxb or shj plates?!
