Hey guys

I picked up a pair of lenso's (Road and Terrain). I believe my original Nissan rims were 7.5 x 17,but the lenso rims are 8 x 17, I put them on the original tire (215 55 r17). My only concern is will that affect the speedometer? I'm aware of the website that calculates the error and all, but I don't know how to use it

Oh and one more thing, if I balanced the rims, removed them from the tires and then put them back on, do I have to balance them again?

Changing the dimensions of the rims/tyres from stock will affect your speedo.

Use the following 2 calculators to calculate by how much your speedo is off, keeping in mind the dimensions of the stock tyre and the new tyre.

Your rolling diameter remains the same if you have used the same Dia wheel (17 inch) and the same dia tire (215/55/17). this means your speedo will remain unaffected.

AFAIK, the wheels are balanced with the tires on. Removal of tires from the rims necessitate the need for balancing again.

BTW, if anyone has this issue, I have a 'yellow box' brand new at my house. Do a google on it. It adjusts the signal to the speedo so your odometer and speedo show the same. I had one on my S2000 that had 18's and 4.55 gear, worked a treat.

Also, FYI, your ODOMETER also changes with larger rims etc. Meaning you drive 10000kms and your odo shows 11000 for example

Im back on my stock rims now. I didnt balance the wheels again, but they seem fine no vibrations at all.
I was thinking of getting new tires 225 50 17, because i noticed that the suspension seemed to be suffering from the wider rims.. Will this help?
