looking for new tyres , street use and track use !
Moderator:Neo
Yeah Albertho - actually i was aware of the lower tread, but for the price and the amount of driving i do - i think it will last long enough!
i had read up about the tire on a couple of websites and all rate it as a 'performance' tire, and in general found a 4/5 rating on the tire as well....
Compared to my options - it was the best bet

looks mean..does the work
im planning to change my tyre too .. currently im using F 195/50/15 , R 205/50/15 ... Dunlop! current tyre is really annoying me coz the whoooming sound it makes when im driving at high speed .. 100kph+ specially right now i go twice a week to Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. I think i kinda need some help on this one since am not good at it, here's some few questions that i need some answers
1. w/c part of the tyre makes more noise Front or Rear ?
2. what would be the difference between 195/50/15 F&R and F = 195/50/15
& R = 205/50/15
3. go 55 or stick to 50 on thickness ?
4. best advice on how to reduce the noise.

I guess the noise can be reduced by puting a better tires. Some tires eventhought they r new still give sound. And i have answer to ur second question only:The rear tire will be wider. My new rims are 10mm wider now and i got to say feels more handy now.
one thing i am sure , the front should wider than the rear in a FF , so i guess better you F 205/40R15 ,R 195/40R15 !!WTF wrote:im planning to change my tyre too .. currently im using F 195/50/15 , R 205/50/15 ... I second that, otherwise you will have more grip in the rear than in the front. If you would have a rwd car, it would make sense (launching and cornering under haevy throttle and such), but for a fwd car, i'd say to stick with same sizes or 205's up front.kingkenny wrote:one thing i am sure , the front should wider than the rear in a FF , so i guess better you F 205/40R15 ,R 195/40R15 !!

Haven't read the whole thread sorry.
Here's my suggestion, unless you have a lottt of money to spend on tires then get Michelins or Yokohamas .. but otherwise look into Falkens they are really nice tires from what I saw and they use them for racing in japan ..
Not expensive and get the job done right. There is a dealership here in Rashidya, have a look I suggest.

I have recently changed my tyres and got new wheels and tyres
wheels - Rotas - Sub-Zero
Tyres - NITTO Neo Gen
they are quality for money - cost me 300 dhs per tire...
looks mean, performs well and good grip and avg. noise and moreover - made in 'JAPAN'
will recommend them who plans to change tires.. they got most of the sizes u r looking for ....
