Kenny, those tyres are good i guess.

Wek> i love the neova's through experience too. but the availability of this?

Kenny, with the suspension u'll be thrown up a category anyway. i suggest u save up and get a set of 048's like me and keep them for track use only. First check the availabilty of tyres before you search online. I had to wait 2 months for my 048's which a friend of mine made and got through a bulk order. Searching for good tyres on 14,15,16 sizes is a bit tuff here.

Kenny> ure stuff is still in France :P will let u know when it lands.

The T1R's look good here

I have yoko's and are happy with them. Grippy tires and good in price.

Else, as Albertho said, get seperate wheels/tires for the track. I guess if you'd only change your front wheels, with some light weight wheels (6 kg rota's) and put a bit stickier, semi slick, tires on there.

i find one more the toyo proxes T1-S , look good !! i like it and the size it same like mine !! how is it guys ?

http://www.toyotapartsuae.com/content/p ... witch=tyre

after i get the 16rim with 215/40 tyre ,my car no more spin at 2nd gear , thinking about better accelerate ! i wish i have something like 205/40 16 , and i can only find neova's have this size now !

i love to have another set wheel for the track , i guess semi slick cost me over 2000 and a set of better rims cost over 2000 too , in fact i want too much stuff for my car already and i don't have that much $$$$ !! :(

but no matter what , i will upgrade it one by one slowly !

as long as traction is AA i think your ok bro...Falken & Kumho Ecsta are cheaper alternative also, but lets stick with Yoko or Toyo.

try to search locally, if not lets goto yoko and order it. It'll be here within a month like mine.

Sparky has Nexen, and he's happy with them. It's maybe also a thing to look at.

But yes, on the whole you'll have toyo and yoko's which are used alot on the track. They are good, and also cost effective, we can go to pirelli's or something but $$

I got new rims and new tires. Its not known i guess " Road Stone" N3000.
Dont know how they r compared to yoko or toyo and stuff but compared to the stock Dunlop ones that came with the car, they r much much better for me.

Anyway try Michelin Pilot PS 2 tires but i asked they r quite expencive.1430 for one peace. :(

i'm looking into tires also, i read reviews about Falken Ziex ZE-512 and people are happy with it and gave it a very high rate, make sure to search for the Z rated tire.

also try the NEXEN N 3000 which is a W rated tire..these are the ones that i'm lookin for actually, really good and not expensive as hell, i was at michlen agency and i was searching for a really big size and they said it would cost me 3400 PER 1 TIRE... damn.

hey,

for the past few weeks i have felt my tires (front) get worse and worse - and today decided i need to change them - no excuses!

Called up alot of places - my tire size is 195 / 55 R 15 - what some people like to consider low profile  -- and some places didnt even carry my size (yokohama for instance)

Anyways - turned out to be quite a nightmare - Pirelli was aprox. 450 AED a tire, Continental there abouts as well and most other tires in the 300 range....
Very very expensive for a poor man like me !

Realized there were only a few i could afford - Hankook (which ive used before and dont really like), Kumho, Nexen and Falken - never used before.

Called up Albertho (thanx man! (Y) ) for some advice, and anyways settled for Falken ZE 512's as the Kumhos were only going to come in 2 weeks...

Paid a rather good price at 200 AED a tire with fitting which isnt bad compared to the above

Value for money i would say Kumho & falken.

I had kumho ecsta on my R, was ok for 250dh a tyre !!! while bridgestone wanted 580dh per tyre and 2 month waiting period. Not many of us 'drag' on the streets, so any tyre will go as long as its quiet and comfy.

Im running michelin pilot exalto on my civic, 500+ a tyre from central trading company, but i would say its the same grip as the 200dh kumho's ecsta...its just the name !!!

Falken's treadware is around 300, while most other competitors boast 400+. so this means the Falken will wear out faster (did i forget to tell u that :P ) ... which in turn means better grip even though grip/temperature rating will be mentioned as A and A. You'll be happy with it !!!

When ure rear wears out, put these to the rear, and get some AA traction tyres for the front. lets order it through yokohama 2 months in advance.
