Hey all,

I bought these rims
and after i've started using them my cars started vibrating alot once i go above 80 km/hr

at first i thought it was coz i didnt get the washers, but even after tht it still is. The guy says its coz of my bushes ... but m not sure

do u guys think itz coz of the bushes coz one of them is tight and the other is loose ??

Cud it be coz of the tire size (its a 16" RIM with tyre size 205/50 R16) ??

or if u ppl hav sumthin else in mind ??

Thanx

Depends which rims u have....

Even my corvette had the same problem...i thought it was of the old rims ...i showed it to the company...they told it was because of the bushes..the bushes weree worn out and thts why the car had a lot of play(The car used to vibrate when used to go above 60kmph and the steering was as sensitive as a GoKart.) i bought new bushes and the prob was solved :D

imm not sure in ur case man...if u had the stock rims...the prob would sure be of the bushes..but u got new rims man soo its hard to say.
Just check the bushes out man....best of luck (Y)

did they balance your new rims with your tires?

if not let them balance it.. this is one cause of vibration also..

also reinstall your stock rims, see if it will vibrate on stock rims..

feel the difference.

ya can someone explain what bushes are...i go crazy everyday driving my car..i have 17inch rims on realy low profile tires...the prob i have is the car is vibrating like mad..i tried to align the tired and the steering roads and all that stuff...it made lil difference and then after that it went worse....i also got this annoying noise as if there is the rims are rubbing agianst sumthing..its a horrible noise..i dont no how to explain it....

soo if there is someone that can explain me this noises and vibrations and also tell me what bushes will do etc it would be great!!...

from my point of you i think bushes go between the rims and the drums right???....please let me no as i wana solve this prob asap!! :D

yaa my car starts around 90-120..then it gets back to normal..i dont get why that happens :S ..its realy wierd...its not just the viberation thats annoying!!..its the bearings as well..they get skrewed so fast!!..and then u have this annoying noise in ur car!!!...

my brother put 19inch rims on his camry....there not original...and ther frickin huge..his car is dropped as well...but when i drive it..i cant hear any noises besides the roads noise...viberation is also there but not as much as mine....my cars is now stock hieght and all..but still the problem persist!!..i somtimes just hate cars!!..what a pain!!

^^^ i think the issue you may have here is that your centre bore of the aftermarket wheel is not the same as stock? this causes your wheel to vibrate along its own axis and cause stress on the studs. DO NOT drive the car like this as eventually the studs will snap off.

Check if you car has hub centric rings installed when you put the aftermarket wheels on - this aligns the new wheel to be dead centre at the hub.

This is the major problem buying aftermarket wheels - no one really sells you something that is GOOD for your car.... wrong offsets, wrong centrebore and wrong PCD!!
