Are your Neo Geo tyres noisy?

Wheels, tires, suspensions, brakes etc.

Hi all,

i recently got myself 18" BBS CH rims with Neo Geo tyres of about 70% thread in them, has anyone have the same brand on? Are they really noisy? i had the rims balanced and mounted in a decent shop, as far as i can see there were no cracks, slashes or bumps in the tyres...is that noise normal?

compared to my stock 18" set, all i can hear before was that soft psssht from the turbo...now all i can hear is the pavement like it's being dragged...i brought the volume up of my stereo 3 notches up just to keep myself at peace :?

any clues or experience with Neo Geo tyres guys?

Thanks! :)

It could be your bearings...do you have spacers on your rims? I suggest getting it checked out asap..I had to live with this problem for 3 years on my civic because of after market rims.

with 70% thread still left on the tires I doubt you should be hearing the road surface, there is still a long way to go for your tires..

no spacers in the rims, and i doubt if it's the bearings because i just had my 10k service done recently. I had the the rims installed yesterday afternoon, and it was running smoothly on stock rims up until yesterday... i hope it's just the tyres and nothing serious...i will have it checked Tamu. Thanks! :) do you know any reliable shop that doesnt BS customers?

btw, do you guys think that the offset would have some connection to it? in the web, the recommended offset for my ride is between 40-45. The BBS CH rims are 50 offset. Previous owner had it slapped into a uber cool VW MK5 :D

The performance tires make that loud noise evn if they are new. If you want quite tires then get something like stock specs but forget about performance.
