Hehehe! It is not mine, that setup is quite expensive, I don't have moolah for that. :D

I am not knowledgeable, just an enthusiast. (Y)

Will try to post my setup later.

Thanks for posting your specs...

I had a real weird day....
The whole week I worked on the car to improve my SQ and installation.
The funny thing is i never tuned the car properly for SQ....
I only knew what they are expecting from an SQ setup after listening to a demo car at venue.
So my SQ competition was a Mega FAIL.....
:)
Now i know what to do and how to do it.

This is the story...

When i was leaving for the comp from my home, the gear was acting funny.
Not moving in D while the car moves in R.
After shifting couple of times everything worked fine.

Switching off at the competition venue i realized the car wont start in P or N...
After moving around the gear it was starting in N...

I did all the tweaks and tuning for the SPL competition and was ready.

They asked to move my car to the spot for the competition run.
I switched off the car while i got out, which i do normally and then realized what i had done....
The car wont start... and I was next in line... Damn!!!

I knew the problem was with the Gear position switch but i cud do nothing...

In the end the competition for Loud1 and Loud unlimited was done with only on battery
Since i had removed the negative wire from the batt the SPL setting in my HU had reset.

As u know Amps are rated 1000 W rms at 14 Volts.
At the run, i saw during my peak the battery voltage was around 9.5 and at 9V the amp will cut off....

I think i had 135.8 db at that run...

I was very depressed coz it was my life long ambition to take part in a comp and do my best...
The last min the car gave up on me... my cousin who helped me for the last two days was depressed too...

We just ignored wat was happening around us and was tried to start the car...

When the runs were done they said, for the comp loud unlimited in the sedan class I was on tie with another member... So that clearly meant that I had already won the Loud1 (Single woofer competition).

Five mins before that I had called my wife and told her what happened, she told my dad about it...

While they were telling me that I was on tie, my dad had already reached... and he being someone with 35 years of experience on automobile electricals started working his magic...

The judges asked if i want another run or want to toss to know whos the winner...
I thought maybe my dad can start the car so then i have a chance.....

Just 1 min before the judges came to my car my dad started the car and it was running...

I didnt have time to tweak the setting or let my battery charge up... the judge was already in the car....

Gave my best shot and the output was 136.4 db...

Knowing that the opponents best run last time was 135.8 i knew it wud be hard for him to beat me... but i waited and watched... i think his best was the same as before.. and I won...

He had two 10 inch comp VX kicker woofer in his Civic...

IF my dad was late by even two mins.. i wudnt have won...

The funny thing is... hearing the story the whole family came down..

My dad, my uncle, my father in law, my mother in law, my wife, my lil boy, my two cousins.. hahaha... it was fun...

Thats my story.. just like a movie.. last min thrill... :)

Thanks galege1! We did enjoy the event, and was really surprised of the result specially in the SQ class.
