FT86 -- Who wants one?
I know, I would be crazy to blow all my savings but this is a tempting machine..
Plus, doesnt al Futtaim sell cars to 3rd party dealers like the ones in abu-shagara? You could probably get it for less over-there? Anybody aware of this one??

They are offically now NOT allowed to sell new Toyota cars in UAE which are imported from Oman. This has been regulated by Toyota Japan.kartoos100 wrote:They have a division called GCCI or something. They are the agents for Oman and bring vehicles from there and sell in the UAE.
Dynatrade now mostly deals in used cars and car parts.

I always love cars that where true to the enthusiast. One of those cars was the Honda S2000, NSX, !! Now with a car like the GT86 I have a good feeling this type of trend will be coming back...
Will I buy this car? Yes I will!!!!!

200k?!? I would rather get a Lan Evo for that. Why does everyone expect high pricing? Does Al Futtaim have a history of overpricing new vehicles?
But at 110K I'm also in line for this.
Anyway, apart from the price, that article with the Toyota engineer really confirms that this is what I want in a car! Either this or the new Mazda rotary they're working on. This is very exciting, it could trigger a new era in fun, light cars!
A Z is cool too. That's why it need to be priced less than the Z. It's got a lot of competition that outperforms, if they give it a high price.

I drove both 86's the manual and automatic during the past couple of months.. The car is addictive to drive, feels like a giant go-kart... The base 6 speed manual model for AED95K is the perfect choice. The automatic somehow steals some of the power but the sport mode makes it very close to the manual. I would say it is one step above the MX-5 but 1 step below the S2000..
