Finally a lightweight, rear-wheel drive, stick shift, flat-4, 2-door goodness. It promises to be a real driver's car.
Who's looking forward to the FT86 and its Subaru counterpart?

Fantastic little car, lets hope they price it right. Maybe someday I'll be able to afford it.

^ Toyota wants you to be able to afford it today and probably is at an affordable price ... but then al futtaim has better plans !

Are you serious? 200 hp tops and no chance of FI with the insane compression ratio! Why?

I absolutely love Toyota but I am very disappointed! I'd rather get the 300 bhp Scooby

Very disappointed! I read Tetsuya Tada's (Chief Engineer) interview and had already started saving up for this! Its got rims from Sharjah FFS, I can fit my head into that wheel gap

If the price is right, people would be willing to overlook those aspects. (Y)

You can always mod it to change those things. I'm pretty sure it handles awesome.
Think of it this way: 200 hp in a car lighter than the Golf GTi (which also has 200 hp) and RWD. Never heard anybody calling the GTi slow.

True, I never said it won't be fun but the overall design is disappointing compared to the concept.I would still buy it if the manual version costs under 110k.

The idea behind it if I'm not mistaken is to let people mod it as easily and as much as possible, since even the most insanely powerful cars are bought n then modded not for the heck of getting more power but jus cuz ppl have that modding bug so they do it anyways... Toyota has kept this in mind n designed a car around this idea so that you can play around with it but if u don't want to its still a good enough sporty car for fun and daily run !
