Civic 1999 keyless entry remote

Hello all,

I have a qeustion,
I have a civic 1999 and its remote for keyless entry was lost quite sometime, but i am sure that the system used to work before the remote was lost. My question is can i buy another remote and use it in the same car? And if yes then does anyone has any idea where i can find one apart from online stores. Also how can i pick the one that will work with my car.
Want to point out that the system that is installed in it is OEM and the car is american specs

You should check with Clifford if any of their remotes may be compatible with your OEM unit. You'd still have to purchase a complete system from them anyway.
