is it expensive to maintain an old subie?

Talk about car reviews & comparisons, buying advice & suggestions, spy shots etc.

1000 Dunes in Al Qouz should be your one stop shop to maintain the Subaru (or an Evo). Take the car over to them for a complete inspection before you finalize anything. 043392353.

you can get tons of spare parts from Jordan as it is widespread and beloved in guys community in there and if you wanted to modify it, i would rather advice you to ship to Jordan by land it cost only 2000 - 2500 AED and you will pay less for parts, labor and you will be in good hands (experience wise).
