Hi all,
I am new here and i have a question for you all which might have been discussed here before (couldn't find it on search) and you might been have asked hundreds of times.
I own a Nissan Tida and was wondering if its worth to regularly service it from the authorized agency i.e. Nissan service centre. They do more or less the same things which can be done from the emarat petrol stations and that too at a much lower price so is it worth it?
Thanks all

uaebooster, if you wish to retain the warranty ... you might have to service through them. Check with the service centre if they will void your warranty if you service it outside.

I bought my Tiida 2006 from AutoMall in 2007 September, with 22k on the clock. Excellent condition, ran like it was brand new. Since then, I've taken it to Arabian Auto for every service, except for 2 minor services (65,000 and 75,000) and it's at 79k now. Still runs and handles like it's brand new. I'm going for my 80k service next week. They do an excellent job. When your warranty runs out, you can opt for Fast Track as they do almost the same thing but charge a BIT less, but remember, prices of parts will never reduce, unless they have a special offer. If Arabian Auto says they need to fix something thats mechanical, or engine related, ask them to do it. If it's cosmetic, electrical, don't, you can get the same thing done elsewhere at 1/4th the price.

They are abit pricy but are the best in customer service.
I have experienced REALLY bad service in honda and Volkswagen.
Stick to the dealer.
BTW, they do more than the Emarat guys do.

Agreed. Arabian Auto are worth it.
You can do your regular 5000km services anywhere, even at home if you want. But all major services like the 50K, 80K services should be done at the stealership so they can run a full diagnostics on your car. But like Albertho said if your car is new and you want to retain your warranty I would get it done by the stealership until warranty expires.
Also ... if ur seriously thinking of modding it then ur gonna lose the warranty anyways ... but imho i wud suggest stick to the dealer they charge a lil more ... but they do their job !!! n the satisfaction having ur car done wid the dealer is totally different thing !!!
Usually during a major service they perform an ECU diagnostics check? I would love to give my car a major service outside the dealer... what would u suggest?
Off topic:
Has anyone dealt with hyundai regarding servicing & maintenance.. if so i would appreciate if u tell input about how they carry the job, costs, etc... Im planning a major service for the coupe @ 100K.. complete overhaul...

hey ... all dealers as far as i know need to be squeezed their guts out then u can benefit from their services and if u have any issues u eat their brains and ask them to repair anything and everything for free !!! if u do tht then they charge u sanely !!! but hyundai is good i have experienced they do the job well atleast for the newer under warranty models dont know much abt urs tho ...but im guessing it should be good ...

Most dealers dont give a %#%$ about the car that wasnt serviced with them every 5k kms. I gave my car to Volkswagen for a fuel problem and they told me to buy a new engine from them.
Next time brought it in to replace starter motor, they refused cuz they said that i need to buy engine from them first or they will not accept my car. So i told the Manager to go %#%$ his mother. Now im banned from Al Nabooda Service Centers. LOL
