Coming back to the subject, there are some really nice E36 coupes on Japanese websites for sale. In the pictures they seem to be flawless, with very low mileage - an average 80,000kms. If their mileage is genuine - then there should not be any problems with the VANOS system :/

Its better to buy from the local market - but I doubt if the condition of the cars here will be as good as the ones available for sale in Japan :D

Hi

Not sure if you still haven't had any luck, but check out Eagle workshop in mussafah. They know everything about cars!!

I sent my 1996 BMW 7 series there for major repairs and maintenance and they did an awesome job getting it running like brand new again
