1.8 Corollas are pretty decent so you might have a lemon of an engine, I would get it checked out before spending on mods. Save up for a TRD supercharger if you have the 1ZZ-FE. 1.8 Tiidas are quite quick plus anything Nissan beats the %#%$ out of its Toyota counterpart!

I've replied to you on Evolve :)

Bottomline? Not worth it. If you can afford the mods that make it quick, you can afford to sell it and by a better, quicker car from the get-go.

Are you sure your car is 1.8?? i used to run head to head with tida with my 1.8 2000 model corolla, just a short ram intake and lowered, rest all stock. Auto tranny not even stick shift. First see if your car is running perfectly or the new corolla's run like crap?

Isn't the easiest power boost you can do is tune the ECU? Stock ECU is made to conserve gas and reduce emissions, so change it and you got instant power.

Oh wait..
"Remaps are very difficult because Toyota lock their ECU’s and no one has yet come up with a way of unlocking them."

Damn.
