i have a toyota crolla 1.6 model 2000
it has this problem where it wont shift into the 4th/the last gear
at times it did but then it stopped, asked many mechanics and they all said its the gear and i need to change it.
the problem is once i stooped somewhere n my car didnt start and i had to change the battery, the battery was dead. once i changed the battery the car started changing gears and then after 4 days it stopped shifting to the 4th gear. went to a mechanic he said the dynamo is dead, so had to buy another 1 and it again started shifting gears till d day when my bro charged a frnds mark 2 with corollas battery and it stooped shifting to the 4th gear.
for a month mayb it didnt shift and recently my bro accelerated the max he could from zero and it started shifting once again.
im afraid if i change the gear and the problem is electronic
i took to te so called best gear garage in Ajman but he said i dnt know and took to a patans garage he tried the car n said gear needs to be changed but still i dnt feel right
and ya it started to drink a large amount of petrol now a days
need help
