Hi all
I have a honda civic ek4 automatic and I want to swap the engine with a b16b and of course that means converting it into a manual, I just have no clue where to take the car to for the engine swap I dont want to go to the industrial area in sharjah because I think the guys there are unprofessional. Can someone point me to the right place for this, I want to go to a professional garage who know what they are doing, thanks

if you do have the motor tranny and all the necessary parts ... Honestly... any garage can swap

those garages are good but I strongly suggest you get the engine & all parts yourself and just let them do the Swap. They have stupidly high prices if they provide the parts.

& when doing the swap, never leave the the car with them or actually any garage over night. always supervise whatever's happenin yourself.. i've heard they strip out parts you would'nt notice and sell them off as your car sits in their garage.
Good luck.

Thanks guys for all your help I really appreciate it, I guess I will look up lap57 and give them a try, although that point you brought up about them stripping out parts of your car kinda worries me.

I have passed by lap57 today they look pretty professional I spoke with some dudes names Mohammad and Francis. they gave me some info and they recommended the k20engine I guess im going for that. The reason I wanted to b16b to begin with because I thought it was the only powerful engine that would fit in my car sorry I know im a noob  I dont have much experience with cars. btw some people have been telling me that lap57 isnt so good im kinda confused now? little insight would be appreciated, Thanks

Lap57 " Know their shit "
they said k20 coz well it is worth every penny

b16b i wouldnt go for simply because it costs same as a b18c from an itR

k20 (Y)
Lap57 (Y)
you can sleep at home while lap57 do their magic that I can assure you

k20 - on a ek4 we are talking atleast 40-50k to run it properly

and if you wanted to be street legal, then thats is a different story :D

I have a friend who have done a ek swap and currently finishing an eg hatch swap (k20 itr)
on the basement, but the quality of work is (Y)

OP must be a big baller.. heh, K20 is the most expensive swap for hondas, Well in this country atleast. thats why its so rare.. But yea its worth the investment.

Consider your options before putting in that 50k.. you can buy a Ep3 or DC5 Stock K20, Import a DC2 K20 swapped, or a S2000 with the same money.
Whatever suits your needs, But a K20 swapped EK.. gonna be Bad %#%$ (Y) (Y)

i know who is finishing that k20 build in his basement :!: and dayum!! he knows whtt hes upto

agreed your looking at a good 50k for a street legal k20 build....and for that money there are really good S2k's out there

all depends on what you need and what you can spend

id say go for a simple b-serires and modd your way up...

I also have a bet with my friend who owns a range rover sport loser buys dinner,he and my friends always makes fun of me when I say after the swap lets race, they simply cannot believe that a 1999 civic will beat him but he has no idea whats coming for him :!: im going to try and get it to 240-250bhp and strip out the back seats and any unnecessary things like the spare wheel to reduce weight, I cant wait till shes completed been saving 2 years just for this
