Car : 2.0 TFSI Golf GTI (Mk5) 142.000km

Car is being build up with a K04 Turbo conversion.

After removing my Intake for the S3 Injectors installation, I noticed i'm in for the classic Valve Carbon Clean...

This is how bad the Carbon Buildup is on my valves... makes you wonder about other GTI's here in Dubai.

So a few hours of cleaning ahead for the next few days ! Really looking forwards to the improvement in performance after this little cleanup.

i have seen other direct injection cars with same problem,it's a regular service for vag and mini/peugeot thp engines :D ...the problem the carbon get stucked around the valve seat and some engines start losing compression and performance...my friend car was running pretty bad at 70,000 kilometer..stock mini's was beatings his JCW....

Same here, can't get the ignition advance that I want out of my car due to Knock intervention (retard).
Removing the carbon deposits should help with that too.
