Well anyways, earlier we use to race at Mamzar which is now flooded with cops. The spot where we go now is quite good for racing coz it has very wide and long roads but almost everyone prefers to do burnouts there.

You'll know what I mean once I get the videos up! :D

How can a police guy punish you for drifting, you can always smile and say, "yeah, I took that corner at a high speed, good thing I kept the car on the road" :)

Silvia's are nice.. The camshafts you are mentioning, are they milder? Maybe you can tweak a bit first with cam gears, or you have them already? Also for big boost you might consider having water / methanol injection..

Yeah those 254 or 256 cam shafts are pretty mild. If I go for 264 or something heavier, there is a possibility that I can´t get my car through MOT. Those cam shafts effect emissions and they are very strict about those over here. If I choose to fit those new cam shafts I will also fit adjustable cam gears. Water injection might be a good idea concerning that "lethal" detonation. I have also fitted Koyo radiator to my car. It helped a lot because after that I didn´t have any overheating problems.

Yeah, europe is pretty strict about emissions.. :) Good thing I moved to UAE, "emissions? emission who?" hehe.. But with your nicely tuned SR20DET, do you still pass them? If thats the case, get a racing downpipe and get a full open exhaust.. :D Just have the real exhaust lying around at home to bolt it on once a year for "the control"..

Or maybe, put your car on a diet? Who needs rear seats anyways? :?

Any clips from your car?

I actually have a racing downpipe and a decat-pipe installed. And my exhaust is Apexi 3 1/8" straight through pipe with only one small silencer :D. I only fit a catalysator just before going to MOT station. It´s pretty loud though. But atleast it has passed MOT everytime. Sorry no video clips, but lots of pictures, if I only know how to load them through that photobucket. And now my car is on a garage waiting for spring. Over here is -15 C and lot´s of snow, so not really a nice cruising weather :@

MJ, i got your pictures thank you.. :) You'll have to post them in the forums, as I don't know how secret you want your car to be :)

Back to SR20DET's.. A colleague of mine is looking at an s13 240sx.. and frankly, if he doesn't buy it, I might aquire it.. It has a K24 engine (most probably), so that needs to be swapped .. Is it easy to get SR20DET's over here? (what would be a good donor car for instance).. Or, does anyone know if the mounts are the same for a bigger engine.. say a RB25, even RB26?

I read in turbo magazine that guys from 9Second racing put a RB26DETT into an S14, and it took 'em 9 months more or less, to do it all.. Just wondering how "easy" it is.. Is it, for instance, possible to get a low-km beaten up RB25DET and stuff it in an S13? Space wise and such?

Com'on you nissan lovers, you should know this.. Sameer, dont tell me you never dreamt of an RB26DETT powered pulsar :)

Ok Mikeh, good that you received those pictures and thanks for the instructions how to load those :) Over here all 200sx s14´s (there are atleast one hundred of those in Finland) are sr20det and s13´s are mainly ca18det. But I know one guy who have changed ca18det to sr20det, and it´s was pretty easy. And sr20det to s14 (with ka24) it´s should be an easy swap. No skyline engines in 200sx s14´s yet though.

:)

I was chatting with a female silvia owner earlier, and she has cams and cam gears from JWT on her car, it's good since it allows her to play with the power.. Having more low end torque (she says she likes it more for drifting) or crazy high end power (drag)

JWT - jim wolf technology, is at http://www.jimwolftechnology.com .. The're a pretty reputable company.

I have heard that Jim Wolf goods are OK. My friend is going to Florida on February so he will check how much those are over there. Should be cheaper than HKS

Just to wake up some sleeping thread.. For a certain project (that might be featured on UB soon :))

Are there any places in UAE that sell -low milage- SR20DET's?

And.. maybe rudiculously, but still.. Do the SR20 and the RB25 share the same motor mounts?

I don´t think that rb25 has same engine mounts as sr20. Atleast they are selling engine mount kits for s13´s and s14´s for rb25 transplant.
