What exactly do you want to do to the car? Make it go faster? Turn it into a head turner? Set a goal for yourself.
And most importantly, how much are you planning to spend on this car?

I wouldn't use nitrous on a car that is comletely stock internally.
LOL Rogue, do you even know the difference between DOHC and SOHC?

This is the best description i could find on the net. Remember guys if you cant find it on UB, your next best bet would be to check out google :P adx1 and rogue, its ok if you dont no what these things are. thats why forums like UB exist, to educate people about cars :) ...dont worry you guys will be fine..

SOHC stands for Single Overhead Camshaft. That means that there is only one camshaft per header. Inline engines will contain one camshaft. V-type and/or flat will contain 2 camshafts. For a SOHC engine there are usually 2 valves per cylinder but there can be more with the addition of cams for each valve.

DOHC stands for Double Overhead Camshaft. Now there are 2 camshafts per header. So in an inline there are 2 camshafts because there is only one header, but there is 4 in a V-type or flat engine. These DOHC engines usually have 4 valves. One camshaft for the exhaust valves and the other for the intake valves.

Advantages to having a DOHC engine over a SOHC is that the engine has twice as many intake and exhaust valves as a SOHC motor. This makes the engine run cooler and more smoothly, quietly, and efficiently. But the downfall is that DOHC engines cost more for repairs. To ensure against expensive engine repairs, make sure you change your engine's timing belt about every 60,000 miles.

adx1 if you dont no much about modding your car then dont modd it until you no what you want and need.
the last thing i would tell you to do is NOS your car. Thats a big NO NO unless you have the supporting modifcations for it which can cost big $$$$$$$$$$$...

to keep it simple start of with the usual bolt on's like intake, headers, exhaust, plugs!!! these little things will give you enough power FOR NOW to put a smile on your face.
for now just looking into what engine you have. if its DOHC then your on the right path. if its a simple SOHC then there really isnt much you can do in-terms of performance.
invest your money wisely and ask us on UB for advice and prices of things, and you should be on the right path :) ...

Good Luck

I dont got the source on me now as i rushed and got the detials from google. it was definatly off, of a hond forum.

i dont no were you are going with this rashood bcoz it seems pretty forward besides the header part.m not to sure what the guy meant about the headers!!..hmmmmm...good point

FYI, it clearly says above that a DOHC can also be a inline engine.

The mistake in Tamu's post is "header", it was meant head.Im sure.
