Okay guys, out of curiosity, I was researching about car weight reduction, etc. and figured I'd do a search about my Tiida 1.6 H/B (no, the weight reduction is not for the Tiida, but for the Eclipse!) and this is what I found, which really confused me:

Dry Weight = Complete car, no oils, no petrol, no passengers
Curb Weight = Complete car, all oils, full tank of petrol, no passengers
Gross Vehicle Weight = Complete car, all oils, full tank, max passengers, plus max cargo (fully loaded!)

So a Tiida 1.6 H/B has the following:
Curb Weight = 1203 KG / 2652 Lbs, but in some places, it's way more than that, which begs the question...how much can a car weight with all oils + petrol? This would depend on the capacity of the fuel tank yeah?

What is more likely to be accurate, and which one should be taken into consideration while making comparisons and reductions? Dry or Curb?

For comparisons i would say kerb? Just add your weight and easy for comparisons. Just my guess as most catalogues dont mention dry, but kerb & gross is always there but you can get dry for both cars you're comparing, then it'll be an accurate comparo
