I think it should pass..even if it doesnt sadly , still you get 30 days for repair
You can try shops in sharjah, glass work usually in industrial area might do the trick.

First I liked Autoglass Dubai - BUT!!!

After just 2 days I got my car back with an OEM windshield. That's ok so far...

...if parts of my dashboard would not have been destroyed!

Wow, I told them that's a bit strange and they have to replace the broken part. - They replied they will.
...That is nearly two weeks ago...

Of course I called them many times and they assured to call back once the spare part has arrived. - Since then it's quiet. Unfortunately I already paid them, because I use the car everyday.

Now I decided to order the spares myself.

I will keep you updated about the issue and the behavior of the company in the coming days, but I guess further hope and time is wasted @ Autoglass in Dubai.

So far, so good: I visited them and presented my bills for the spares which I installed myself. They checked it and reimbursed my expenses without discussion.

The cost for the spare windshield (light American truck) was around AED 1200 and they had it in stock. Guess if they have to order, it could be a bit more expensive.

The labor cost was AED 650 on top, but some body welding was included as a major part of it. Guess if your frame is ok, they will ask for just AED 100 or AED 200.

[quote="comatose"]When my windshield cracked because of a rock on Emirates Road, insurance replaced it at no extra charge i.e. did not raise my premium. Unless you are driving without insurance, why not ask them to replace it?[/quote

Is that you got a police report ? I have the same issue ? While I was driving through emirates road some flying object hit my wind screen and a small crack occurred. It's minor. But my worry is that it will spread eventually .If I directly call the insurance they will do something ? Or I have to approach them with a police report ?

Mine is a Lincoln MKX under warranty. Will the windshield crack will be covered by the agency ! I doubt if I tell them the scenario they will tell me to pay the cash !!
