thnx commando....i lov this ride.
yeh the tools r the things thts the most imp part of polishing...
pads tht r used on polishing machines i buy them even though i got a polishing machine at home i dont use it.i always say "nothing better than ur own hands" .... mostly meguiar's products.i put up a pic on another topic " meguiar's help " take a look there.thts the only products i have of meguiar's.i had a clay bar but tht fell to the ground n i had to scrap it.
i am still looking for meguair's but no luck now.certain clothes u find around thts 100% cotton... most of them iv got from india.really soft n cheap out there.
nothing much to it ..... need the time....the patience.....the hand and most of all the Lov
r u thinking of polishing ur car ?

Nothin better than working on ur own car...
I know how it feels, the pride that engulfs u...
The way u float when someone admires ur ride...
hehehe!!
I like people who takes care of their own ride...

Couple of things though,
Why is the snaps not clear, too much shake?
Why are u stuck wit a particular brand of polish?
Hope u took care of the joints and corners, or else the wax gets stuck there and later on forms a white color deposit.

Its nice to Wax, but u must remember, if there isnt clear coating on the car, u are rubbing the paint off, which means ur paint becomes thinner and thinner.. U can try using the machines on larger body panels bcoz it might look uneven and hand work on smaller panels.

Teflon coating also takes away some paint from ur car, but once does, it only needs to be maintained and hence wont hurt u much..
Clear coating a.k.a Lacquring, is applying a tranperant paint on the existing paint. Once done the right way, u wont have to polish ur car at all, worst case scenario maybe buff and u wud jst rubbin of the clear, not the paint. ITs protective and amazing.

I am not giving u an advice Eleanor, jst a recommendation to everyone.

Speedy, u keep on talkin about Angel eyes a.k.a Halo, And hez already got angel eyes, look at his headlite.. if i am wrong, please explain wat are u talkin about. Look at the picture below.

i remember polishing my car once ... n tht was the last time ... worked out well ... but had the polish stuck in small places n formed the same white remains as mentioned by neo ...

n neo the info on polishing was intresting ... but if u've got sum cash to spend ... then pay 100 dhs for a professional polish instead of tryin out sumthin n screwin ur car ..

Speedy!!!!!!
hez already mentioned the cost too, its around Dhs 700.
My friend was looking for some lite like that.
Its informative for me too. As far as i know therez single color, seven color and million color halo rings.

Xheart ur right, coz its always good to give it to the proffesional, additionally u will start wit so much enthusiasm, and after half the job u mite get tired and bored... hehe!!!
